Junior Security Technician
Our client is a well-established commercial security integrator based in Brisbane, specialising in corporate access control, CCTV, and integrated security networks.
They have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality electronic security installations and maintenance services across Queensland.
Due to ongoing project wins, they are looking for a junior technician who wants to learn from senior engineers and develop their technical skills.
This is a developmental role where you will receive structured training on advanced, high-end electronic security platforms.
You will work alongside experienced technicians on commercial sites, helping to install, commission, and service electronic security systems while learning the trade.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, wiring, and mounting of commercial CCTV cameras and access control panels. Conduct routine preventative maintenance and testing of electronic security systems across various commercial sites.
- Diagnose and repair basic faults in security hardware and cabling infrastructure under guidance.
- Maintain accurate service records, digital job sheets, and compliance documentation for all completed works.
- Provide professional customer service to clients on-site while representing the company brand.
- Adhere strictly to site-specific work health and safety policies and procedures.
Ideal Background
- You have a foundational background or some basic hands-on experience within the electronic security or electrical cabling industry.
- You hold a current Queensland Security Provider Licence and an open cabling licence.
- A valid open manual driver licence and a construction white card.
- You demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, excellent communication skills, and a genuine interest in developing a long-term career in electronic security.
- This role provides an ideal entry point for a motivated junior technician looking for structural training and clear progression pathways.
