Junior QA Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements and functional specifications.
• Prepare and execute test cases and scenarios, and prepare test reports.
• Perform manual testing for web and mobile applications.
• Identify, report, track, and verify bugs and issues.
• Perform regression, smoke, functional, and UI testing.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, and business teams.
• Create and maintain automation test scripts.
• Participate in sprint planning and QA discussions.
• Ensure product quality before production releases.
• Validate APIs and backend responses where required.

Required testing skills

• Understand SDLC and STLC.
• Experience with functional, regression, smoke, UI/UX, and cross-browser or cross-device testing.
• Strong bug reporting and debugging skills.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of automation frameworks.
• Experience with one or more of Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
• Know how to write and execute automation test cases.
• Basic API testing using Postman or Swagger, and basic SQL/database understanding.
• Good communication and documentation skills; able to test modules or features independently.

Optional and advantageous skills

• TestRail is optional; understanding of CI/CD testing flow is a plus.
• Performance or security testing, Git/GitHub, Firebase, logs, analytics debugging, and basic scripting in JavaScript, Java, or Python are good to have.

Pay

• ₹7,000–₹25,000 per month.

• Work is in person.
