About Food Vessel

Food Vessel is a B2B digital trading platform for food commodities, connecting international suppliers to buyers across the Middle East.

We are in active platform launch mode: onboarding buyers and sellers, running our first live transactions, and building a lean, high-output marketing engine in-house.

This role sits at the center of that effort.

The Role

We need someone who is equal parts creative storyteller and analytical thinker.

You will own execution across LinkedIn content, Google SEM, email campaigns, and our market newsletter, with direct visibility to the CEO from day one.

This is not a support role.

You will have real ownership of live campaigns, real data to act on, and a real platform whose growth depends on what you ship.

In Your First 90 Days

  • Take over day-to-day social media publishing: audit what has worked, build a four-week content calendar, and own it.
  • Run platform re-engagement email and WhatsApp campaigns; track opens, CTR, logins, and preferences, with market-intel-driven copy.
  • Set up UTM tracking and Google Analytics reporting so every campaign has a performance baseline.
  • Support the launch of the weekly Food Vessel newsletter.
  • Take over in-house production of graphic assets: social media graphics, email banners, video content, website images, and newsletter layouts. This is a core part of the role.

Social Media Content & Graphic Design

  • Own content production across LinkedIn, Instagram, and other relevant social channels end-to-end: copy, visuals, and publishing.
  • Create original graphics, social media images, video thumbnails, and short-form video content (reels and clips) using Canva, Adobe Suite, or equivalent tools.
  • Produce website imagery and visual assets for platform pages, landing pages, and promotional banners.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent visual identity across all channels: social, email, newsletter, and website.

Google Sem

  • Use SEMrush or similar tools to identify priority keywords and regions; build and manage in-house paid search campaigns.
  • Monitor daily spend, CTR, and conversions; adjust bids and targeting based on data.
  • Serve as the internal point of contact for any retained SEM vendors; review outputs and flag underperformance.

Email Marketing

  • Execute buyer and seller re-engagement campaigns end-to-end: copy, audience segmentation, sending, and tracking.
  • Manage contact lists in Zoho CRM; maintain clean segments and suppression lists.
  • Write conversion-focused copy for targeted offer emails, price update prompts, and platform announcements.
  • Run A/B tests on subject lines and CTAs; report results and apply learnings.

Newsletter

  • Produce the weekly Food Vessel market newsletter: market snapshots, price movements, and buyer and seller insights.
  • Coordinate inputs from buyer and procurement teams.
  • Write concise, timely, and relevant market intelligence that drives click-throughs back to the platform.

Performance & Analytics

  • Own setup and monitoring across all campaigns; ensure every link is trackable before it goes live.
  • Produce a weekly performance report covering LinkedIn, SEM, email, and newsletter metrics.
  • Identify what is working, what is not, and recommend specific improvements.
  • Track funnel KPIs: leads, activations, re-engagements, and platform logins.

Marketing Operations

  • Manage and maintain our WhatsApp automation platform for marketing operations.
  • Provide basic technical support for marketing tools and integrations.
  • QA agency and vendor outputs; flag issues before they go live.

Must-Haves

  • 1–3 years of hands-on digital marketing experience (agency, startup, or in-house).
  • Strong graphic design skills are non-negotiable. You produce social graphics, images, video content, and web visuals to a professional standard using Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, or equivalent tools.
  • A portfolio of visual work you’re proud of: social posts, banners, video edits, and website assets.
  • Proficient with Google Ads and Google Analytics; you can set up tracking, not just read dashboards.
  • Confident with AI content and image generation tools. You should already use them daily, not be learning about them.
  • Strong written English: concise, commercial, and clear under short deadlines.
  • Email marketing platform experience (Zoho Campaigns, Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar).

Nice-To-Haves

  • Experience with B2B content and LinkedIn organic strategy.
  • Familiarity with SEMrush or similar keyword research tools.
  • Understanding of commodity trading, the food supply chain, or logistics sectors.
  • CRM experience (Zoho, Salesforce, or HubSpot).
  • Arabic language skills.
