Junior Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary:

The Junior Maintenance Engineer is responsible for supporting the maintenance team in ensuring the efficient operation of machinery, equipment, and facilities within the plant. This role focuses on assisting in preventive and corrective maintenance activities, learning troubleshooting techniques, and developing technical skills to contribute to reducing downtime, improving reliability, and maintaining workplace safety.

Responsibilities:

• Support maintenance activities in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

• Assist in executing preventive maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment.

• Participate in basic troubleshooting of mechanical systems under supervision.

• Support monitoring of machine performance and reporting abnormalities.

• Learn and apply preventive and basic predictive maintenance practices.

• Assist in analyzing simple recurring failures and support corrective actions.

• Support maintenance documentation, reports, and downtime tracking.

• Assist in spare parts monitoring and inventory coordination.

• Follow instructions from senior engineers and supervisors during maintenance tasks.

• Participate in equipment inspections and basic condition monitoring activities.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.

• Maintain proper documentation using CMMS.

• Ensure proper housekeeping and adherence to safety standards during all activities.

• Continuously develop technical knowledge and practical skills in maintenance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of experience.

• Internship or training experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance.

• Basic knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) or Lean Manufacturing principles.
