Description
To assist the teachers in reporting and maintaining student attendance in a manner to assure efficiency and accuracy in student attendance records.
Responsibilities
- Perform all clerical duties relating to attendance, compile necessary reports, and record information as required
- Issue admission slips for students who are tardy or who have been absent
- Make calls to homes of absent students
- Report excessive absences to assistant principal
- Prepare and distribute lists of excused absences due to school-sponsored activities
- Request, input and monitor student records
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the assistant principal
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED

- Fingerprinting is required of all candidates per Texas Education Code

Tools/Equipment Used: Multi-line phone system; standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
