Junior Graphic Designer

About This Role

Job Duties:

The selected candidate will work with marketing and website team to create quality artwork including but not limited to online banners, email marketing campaigns, online and offline adverts, in-store graphics/point of sale material and promotional items. In addition your role specifics will require you to:

· Work alongside brand guidelines and help create standards for future artwork if guidelines are not in place.

· Be a self-starter and creative thinker

· Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.

· Plan concepts by studying information and materials.

· Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.

· Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.

· Completes projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, when required

· Maintain technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies if requested

· Create designs that respond beautifully to all devices whilst demonstrating a user-centric approach

· deliver engaging and consistent content for email, affiliates, re-targeting, social media, and display advertising channels

· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

· With 3D design expertise; a background in fashion design would be an added advantage.

Experience:

At least 5 years of experience within graphic design with a minimum of 4 years dedicated to advertising including the creation of both online and offline design work.

· Expert knowledge of XD, Sketch (apart from Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

· Knowledge of HTML and CSS with working experience of HTML email production. Knowledge of JavaScript would be advantageous

· Experience of using Netsuite Suite Commerce Advanced, Magento, Shopify, Woocommerce etc. to upload and manage content would be advantageous

Skills/Qualifications:

The candidate will have a University Degree in the creative disciplines to support the application.

In addition the basic skills as follows will be required: Graphic Design Skills, Layout Skills, Creative Services, Customer Focus, Creativity, Flexibility, Attention to Detail, Deadline-Oriented, Desktop Publishing Tools, Acute Vision, Handles Rejection and Feedback. You will be fluent in English (written and oral).

Technical Expertise:

The candidate must be fully proficient in the latest Adobe CS6 software suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign as well as a more than basic understanding of HTML and designing graphics for websites.
