Job Summary
The Junior Fire Fighting Technician is responsible for assisting in the inspection, testing, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fire protection systems to ensure compliance with local authority requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine inspection and preventive maintenance of fire fighting systems.
- Assist in testing and commissioning of fire pumps, hydrant systems, hose reels, sprinklers, and suppression systems.
- Inspect valves, gauges, control panels, and associated equipment.
- Perform minor repairs and replacement of defective components.
- Report faults, deficiencies, and maintenance findings to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate service reports and maintenance records.
- Ensure compliance with UAE Civil Defence regulations and safety procedures.
- Support emergency breakdown and corrective maintenance activities.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and housekeeping at work sites.
- Follow permit-to-work and site safety requirements.
Requirements
- ITI/Diploma or equivalent technical qualification.
- 1–3 years of experience in fire fighting system maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of hydrant, sprinkler, fire pump, and suppression systems.
- Ability to read basic drawings and maintenance checklists.
- UAE driving license is an advantage.
