Role Description
This full-time, on-site Estimation Engineer position is based in Umm Al Quwain.
The role involves preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and detailed project cost estimations, analyzing project specifications, and conducting market research to ensure accurate pricing.
The Estimation Engineer will coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams, and actively participate in negotiations to achieve cost-effective solutions.
They will also ensure compliance with project requirements and support project planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing
- project cost estimates and quotations
- Review
- project drawings, specifications, and BOQs
- to understand scope of work
- Support the preparation of
- tender documents and bid submissions
- Coordinate with
- procurement, production, and project teams
- for pricing and technical inputs
- Prepare
- quantity take-offs and cost calculations
- Assist in
- cost comparison and vendor quotation analysis
- Maintain proper documentation of estimates, BOQs, and project records
- Support the senior estimation team in
- budget planning and project costing
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in
- Civil Engineering or related field
- **1–3 years of experience**
- in estimation, quantity surveying, or project costing
- Basic knowledge of
- construction drawings and BOQ preparation
- Familiarity with
- estimation processes and tender documentation
- Good knowledge of
MS Excel and AutoCAD
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Ability to work in a
- fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
