Junior Engineer - Quality

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Carry out supplier validation audits and support supplier APQP.
• Assess supplier manufacturing and technology capabilities and health, safety, and environmental risks as part of supplier approval.
• Support new product launches and follow up on supplier root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Visit supplier sites to investigate quality issues and verify corrective actions.
• Review supplier processes, collaborate on improvements, and promote continuous improvement methods.
• Escalate unresolved supplier issues and support monitoring and reporting of supplier quality performance.
• Coordinate supplier cost recovery for quality issues and support internal and external audit readiness.
• Undertake special projects as required.

Experience and qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of strong knowledge of Quality.
• B.E./B.Tech in E&TC, EEE, or Mechanical engineering.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, lean manufacturing, quality and business systems, and measurement techniques.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001.
• Night shift.
