Junior Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Junior Engineer – Manufacturing Engineering in Chennai, India.

What a typical day looks like:

Create Work Instruction for New Product and Update Work Instruction for Engineering Changes, Support Cycle time estimation study and NRE estimation (NRE) estimation for Request for Quote (RFQ) preparation

Create Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis for New product

Support for Tools, Jigs & Fixture design for product assembly

Support for Design for Manufacturing, Design for mechanical assembly

Support for Penalization for PCB fabrication

Prepare Daily plan / production down time analysis report

Supporting for convert PCB cad files and 3D cad files from one format to another format.

Prepare Over all equipment efficiency report (OEE) and Equipment utilization report

Perform Multiphysics stimulation

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

Skilled in Fixture Tools design softwares like SolidWorks, Auto CAD, Creo etc..

Should have very good knowledge in Manufacturing tool designing process

Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques, and the product.

Define, implement, and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability

Develop and maintain process documentation.

Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve in-house capabilities and gives in.

Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements.

Aptitude to work with a multi-functional team to define requirements and suitable metrics for the performance of new products and process.

Knowledge & direct experience in NPI operations and manufacturing engineering.

Able to perform root cause analysis and resolve problems

Experience with Continuous Process Improvement, Kanban and Lean manufacturing principals.

Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic startup environment

Work with other engineering team members to improve existing design or Process.

Knowledge of MS office and MS outlook

Excellent written and oral communication skills MANDATORY.

Good analytical skills.

Coaching & mentoring skills.
