Junior Engineer (Civil)

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities at residential and commercial sites.
• Monitor site progress against project schedules.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, workers, and vendors.
• Ensure work follows approved drawings and specifications.
• Check material and workmanship quality.
• Monitor labour allocation, attendance, and daily work progress.
• Coordinate with senior engineers and report site updates.
• Ensure compliance with construction safety standards and site procedures.
• Identify site issues and coordinate timely resolution.
• Maintain daily site reports and relevant documentation.

Requirements

• Diploma or B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• At least 1–2 years of practical construction-site experience is mandatory.
• Experience supervising residential and commercial construction projects.
• Knowledge of construction methods, site execution, and civil engineering drawings.
• Ability to manage site workers and coordinate with contractors.
• Willingness to work at construction sites and travel between project locations as required.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred candidate profile

• Interest in fieldwork and construction site management is preferred.
• Comfort with active site supervision, outdoor work, and day-to-day construction activities is preferred.
• Comfort with full-time, on-site responsibilities and project-related travel is preferred.

Compensation and benefits

• Monthly pay is ₹15,000–₹20,000.
• Benefits include cell phone reimbursement and paid time off.

Work location

• The role is on-site and in person, with travel between project locations as required.
