Role overview
Des Gosling Mobility provides vehicle adaptations for disabled and elderly drivers across the Midlands.
The Junior Design Engineer will initially focus on vehicle-specific kit design information and CAD/3D modelling work.
The role supports a small team and may develop into other design engineering areas based on the individual's skills.
Responsibilities
- Capture information for vehicle-specific kit designs and process it using CAD and other 3D modelling software.
- Support the design team and gain exposure to different parts of the design process.
- Work alongside manufacturing and assist with day-to-day production and logistics as needed.
- Build understanding of how design choices affect the production team.
Candidate requirements
- Previous engineering experience or training and some experience with CAD software.
- A full UK driving licence is required.
- Be organised and thorough, follow processes, manage time, work well with others, learn quickly, and pay close attention to detail.
- A degree is not a prerequisite; graduate applications are welcomed.
Hours
- Weekdays, 8:30am to 5:30pm.
Pay
- Starting salary is £27,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
- The stated pay range is £27,000 to £30,000 per year.
Work location
- Work is in person.
