Position Summary
- A motivated Junior Data Scientist is sought to join a growing team. This role suits an early-career professional with approximately one year of experience and a strong interest in data-driven decision-making. A solid foundation in Python, basic statistical knowledge, and a desire to develop skills in analytics and machine learning are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with data scientists and cross-functional teams to support model development and analytical initiatives.
- Clean, structure, and analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
- Develop and maintain Python scripts, analytical tools, and data workflows.
- Assist in building and testing statistical and machine-learning models.
- Create clear reports, visualizations, and presentations to communicate findings.
- Support model monitoring and performance evaluation tasks.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in Python and familiarity with key data libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
- Basic understanding of linear models and statistical concepts.
- Experience handling datasets and performing exploratory analysis.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to relocate to Dubai, UAE after an initial remote period.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
- Familiarity with SQL or similar data-querying tools.
- Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) is advantageous.
- Previous internship or project experience involving data analysis or machine learning.
