Junior Data Analyst

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Analyze data and investigate unique business questions and problems.
• Work with stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into clear business requirements.
• Use Claude and other AI tools to explore solutions, develop requirements, and assist with analysis and technical work.
• Support dashboards, reporting, data processes, and other data-team projects.
• Identify data issues and help develop practical solutions.
• Take on ad hoc projects and new challenges as they arise.
• Document findings, requirements, processes, and proposed solutions.

Ideal candidate

• 1–3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, business analysis, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Comfortable working with Excel; SQL and/or BI tools are preferred.
• Curious, self-directed, and willing to learn.
• Comfortable using AI tools to research, brainstorm, and accelerate work.
• Able to turn an ambiguous problem into a structured plan.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Pay and hours

• Pay is $30–$45 per hour.
• Expected hours are 40 per week.

• Work location is in person in Rochester, New York 14624.
