The Junior Credit Controller manages customer invoicing, collections, aged debt, account issues, and credit-control records.
Responsibilities
- Submit invoices with supporting service documentation and negotiate customer payment plans and terms.
- Maintain debt records, analyze credit-control performance, monitor aged debt, and follow up on overdue invoices and late payments.
- Resolve collection and billing issues through customer calls; reconcile accounts and communicate outstanding balances.
- Record communications, payment plans, and disputes in OnGuard and update dashboards and trackers daily.
- Report debt and payment issues; review credit notes and additional billings; manage service suspension and debt recovery.
- Prepare delinquency proposals where legal action may be needed and report disputes to Finance management.
- Coach and support the credit-control team and train new joiners on OnGuard, processes, and procedures.
Requirements
- BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- At least four years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of reporting and monitoring, attention to detail, effective decision-making and problem-solving, and ability to listen and negotiate customer solutions.
