Junior BI Analyst

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Write reports using SSRS and SQL; support user acceptance testing for data changes and test and correct reports.
• Produce, extract and analyse large quantities of data from multiple sources, including financial data.
• Communicate findings and trends to departments and stakeholders to inform process and procedure improvements.
• Create standardised or automated data and visualisation outputs that are accurate, clear and consistent.
• Coach BI consumers in accessing, understanding and interpreting datasets and reports.
• Help identify data deficiencies and analytical capability gaps, and assist the Lead BI Analyst with developing the BI team.

Candidate requirements

• Strong SQL, SSRS and Power BI reporting skills, plus strong Microsoft Excel skills and awareness of other reporting tools.
• Experience working with the wider team to manage data effectively and develop BI reports that improve management information.
• Ability to communicate persuasively and concisely, provide stakeholder insights, and solve problems.
• Excellent financial and commercial skills.
• Experience training users and rolling out new reports or tools is desirable.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 36.5 hours per week, with an early finish on Fridays.
