The Opportunity
The Junior Accounting Analyst joins the Finance team and owns accounts payable and vendor relations.
The role supports the Controller with month-end and year-end close, accurate financial records, project accounting, and business decision data.
What You’ll Do
- Process supplier invoices and code them to project budgets and cost accounts.
- Process overhead expenses, expense reports, supplier accounts, and company credit cards.
- Review vendor statements and coordinate payment runs according to payment terms and company policy.
- Respond to supplier payment questions and resolve issues.
- Support month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting.
- Handle full-cycle accounting for several small entities, including AP, AR, general ledger, sales tax, and reporting.
- Support overhead budgets and forecasts by comparing actuals with budgets and explaining variances.
- Help improve processes, potentially including a future ERP implementation.
What You’ll Bring
- Hands-on experience with accounts payable and account reconciliations.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort with other Office applications.
- Comfort working in accounting software.
- Attention to detail, time management, organization, clear communication, and a sense of ownership.
- Post-secondary education in accounting, business, or finance is an asset.

- Pay starts at $47,786.13 per year.
