Junior Accountant / Finance Associate (Startup)

About Us:
Swipetap is a fast-growing e-commerce platform helping merchants launch and scale their online businesses across the GCC. We integrate payments, logistics, and analytics into one seamless system.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Finance & Accounting Manager to take full ownership of financial operations. This role goes beyond traditional bookkeeping — you will be responsible for building a reliable financial system for a growing e-commerce platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations and financial records
- Reconcile transactions across payment providers (e.g. Tabby, Tamara, Tap, etc.)
- Track revenue, fees
- Prepare invoices, financial reports, and monthly statements
- Ensure VAT compliance and tax filings (UAE and GCC)
- Monitor cash flow and financial health of the business
- Identify discrepancies and resolve financial issues proactively
- Work closely with product and operations teams
Requirements:
- 3+ years in accounting or finance (preferably e-commerce or SaaS)
- Strong understanding of payment reconciliation and financial workflows
- Experience with accounting tools (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
- Knowledge of VAT regulations in UAE/GCC
- High attention to detail and ownership mindset
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with startups
- Familiarity with payment gateways and marketplaces
- Basic understanding of financial automation
