Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Dubai.
The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, preparing journal entries, and reconciling bank and account statements.
The role includes preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations.
The Accountant will process payables and receivables, support payroll calculations, assist with audits, and provide accurate financial data to management for decision-making.
Collaboration with internal teams and timely communication of financial insights are essential parts of the role.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, as well as MS Excel for data analysis.
- Experience with accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes.
- Familiarity with local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit support procedures.
- Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are a plus.
- Previous experience in an accounting role, preferably within the UAE or a similar market.
- Ability to work on-site in Dubai and manage workload independently while meeting deadlines.
