About the role
: The Maintenance Technician within the Technology and Solutions Department is responsible for on-site maintenance of system software components and troubleshooting security system technologies and solutions.
This role requires hands-on technical expertise to ensure optimal system performance.
The technician works closely with clients, maintenance integrators, team members, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality service and achieve high levels of client satisfaction.
Security System Implementation & Configuration
- Configure, test, and commission security systems including
- CCTV, access control, intercoms, and speed gates
- .
- Manage and maintain
- Windows server infrastructure
- , including designing, configuring, and supporting high-availability environments suitable for enterprise-grade video surveillance (RAID configurations, storage optimization, and OS hardening).
- Troubleshoot and support
- network infrastructure
- , including switches, VLANs, routing, and bandwidth optimization, to ensure low-latency video streaming and data integrity.
Maintenance & technical Support
- Perform maintenance of security systems (CCTV, access control, intercoms, and speed gates), with a focus on
- software and head-end systems
- .
- Conduct periodic system audits, firmware upgrades, backups, and patch management to ensure system integrity and optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues, including hardware, software, wiring, connectivity, and Windows server configurations.
- Provide
- Level 2/Level 3 technical support
- for complex system faults and integration challenges.
- Deliver both
- on-site and remote support
- , ensuring timely resolution of client issues and system failures.
- Work collaboratively with clients, integrators, and internal teams to maintain service excellence.
System Testing & Compliance
- Conduct
- system stress testing, failover testing, and health checks
- to ensure high system reliability and uptime (targeting 99.9%).
- Ensure all solutions meet quality standards and comply with operational requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including
- as-built drawings, configuration records, and commissioning reports

- Maintain records of installations, maintenance activities, and issue resolutions.
- Generate reports on system performance and recommend improvements where necessary.
Client Support & Ticket Management
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and provide technical assistance.
- Manage and update the maintenance ticketing system (training will be provided).
- Deliver client training on system usage and basic troubleshooting.
- Identify recurring issues and document solutions to improve response efficiency.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all

Preferred Certifications
- **Avigilon / Milestone Certifications:**
- MCIT or MCIE
- **Lenel Certifications:**
LCA, LCP, or LCE
- **Additional Certifications (preferred):**
Experience, Qualifications & Competencies
- Degree, Diploma, ITC, or ITI in Electronics, Electrical, IT Engineering, or a related technical field, with 1-3 years’ experience as a technician/Engineer in the security services industry.
- Strong proficiency in the installation and troubleshooting of IP-based systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, intercoms, and gate barriers.
- Candidates with international (non-GCC)
experience

- Solid understanding of IP protocols and fundamental networking concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills, with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
