Duties and responsibilities
- Sample petrochemical fluids and applicable dry cargo according to procedures and client instructions.
- Follow company inspection procedures, safety manuals, and policies.
- Label and securely store samples with product, storage, time, and inspector details.
- Transport samples safely and promptly to the laboratory.
- Assist senior inspectors, maintain field knowledge, protect confidentiality, and perform other assigned duties.
- Participate in training and pass relevant inspection, hazardous-material transportation, and safety examinations.
Qualifications
- High school/secondary education or equivalent.
- At least one year of service-oriented organization experience is preferred.
- Able to perform basic mathematical calculations and communicate well in writing and verbally.
- Awareness of hazardous-material handling and transportation regulations; familiarity with laboratory sample handling and documentation.
- Able to work independently and with a team in a physically demanding environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to attend required training.
