Consultant placed on client engagements as part of an Enterprise Data team alongside business stakeholders, data engineers, BI developers, and product owners.

Requirements and process analysis
- Gather and document client requirements through interviews, working sessions, and documentation reviews; write and maintain Jira user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Refine and prioritize backlogs with senior business analysts and product owners; track requirements through development and testing.
- Analyze analytical business processes, reporting, system enhancements, KPI calculations, and data handoffs; identify pain points, workarounds, and data quality gaps.
- Map current- and future-state workflows and maintain clear documentation in Confluence or team repositories.
Data solutions, testing, and planning
- Learn client source systems, pipelines, data warehouses, and reporting layers; document data definitions, business rules, source-to-target mappings, and data dictionaries.
- Use basic SQL to explore data and validate requirements; review, troubleshoot, or build basic Power BI reports and DAX measures.
- Create low-fidelity wireframes and support BRDs, functional specifications, process maps, data mappings, and test cases.
- Support UAT by drafting scenarios, coordinating testers, and tracking defects; participate in sprint and roadmap planning.
Client engagement
- Represent Kaizen professionally, build client relationships, and keep the engagement lead informed about progress, risks, and scope questions.
- Follow delivery standards and contribute to internal templates, best practices, and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field; 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Basic understanding of data tables, joins, data models, and metrics.
- Strong writing and communication skills for business and technical audiences.
- Familiarity with Excel, Jira, and Power BI; strong Excel skills expected. Confluence familiarity is a plus.
- Interest in consulting and ability to work across clients, industries, and team setups; organized, detail-oriented, curious, and comfortable asking questions.
