Joinery Designer
About This Role
Role Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Joinery Designer with strong UAE experience in joinery and interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate must possess advanced expertise in Cabinet Vision software and be capable of managing the complete joinery design process from concept development to detailed production drawings. This role requires close coordination with internal teams and a strong understanding of manufacturing and site execution requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Prepare detailed joinery shop drawings using Cabinet Vision.
- Develop 3D models, production drawings, and cutting lists for manufacturing.
- Review architectural and interior drawings and convert them into precise joinery drawings.
- Coordinate with project managers, production teams, and site engineers to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
- Prepare material take-offs and BOQs related to joinery works.
- Ensure all designs comply with client specifications, project requirements, and industry standards.
- Revise and modify drawings based on client/consultant feedback.
- Provide technical support to factory and installation teams during production and execution stages.
- Attend client and coordination meetings when required.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in joinery design or drafting tools will be an advantage.
Experience Required
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, with mandatory UAE experience in joinery and interior fit-out projects.
- Proven experience in handling end-to-end joinery design processes.
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced proficiency in Cabinet Vision (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of joinery detailing, materials, finishes, and production processes.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings.
- Good understanding of manufacturing methods and site execution.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
