Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Jeddah.
The Accountant will manage daily financial transactions, including recording entries, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements.
The role involves preparing invoices, tracking accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring timely payments and collections.
The Accountant will assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, as well as supporting budgeting and cost control for construction projects.
Responsibilities
also include maintaining accurate documentation, supporting internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with applicable financial regulations and company policies, and collaborating with project managers and procurement teams to monitor expenses and project profitability.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in general accounting, including journal entries, ledger management, and bank reconciliations.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and collections processes.
- Ability to prepare financial reports, support budgeting, and assist with cost control and variance analysis.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel (spreadsheets, formulas, data analysis).
- Knowledge of basic tax, financial regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to the construction sector is an advantage.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with project, procurement, and management teams.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications are a plus.
- Previous experience as an accountant, preferably in construction or a project-based environment, is highly desirable.
