Role overview
METS is hiring an experienced Project Manager for electrical infrastructure projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The role leads project execution, timely completion, quality compliance, and cost control; prior hands-on SEC project experience is mandatory.
Project delivery
- Develop project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and execution plans.
- Supervise electrical installation, underground cable works, testing, and other activities against approved drawings and specifications.
- Lead project teams of engineers, supervisors, technicians, and site personnel.
- Coordinate materials, procurement, inventory, and delivery schedules.
Quality, safety, and controls
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, inspection requirements, testing procedures, and commissioning activities.
- Apply company HSE procedures, applicable regulations, and project safety requirements.
- Manage contracts, budgets, cost control, variations, progress payments, and payment claims.
- Monitor progress, prepare reports, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
Coordination and close-out
- Coordinate with SEC, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities.
- Manage final inspections, testing, commissioning, documentation, handover, and project close-out.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Project Manager experience in electrical infrastructure or power distribution projects.
- Mandatory hands-on experience working on Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) projects.
- Track record of completing and handing over electrical projects.
- Strong experience in planning, execution, cost control, contract administration, and resource management.
- Underground cable project and electrical testing and commissioning experience is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills; good spoken and written English.
- Able to manage multiple activities, meet deadlines, and deliver within approved budgets and quality standards.
