Role overview

The role sits in the International Health Global Strategy team and reports to the Global Head of Strategy.

The team oversees portfolio strategy and strategic planning, supports mergers and acquisitions, and partners with businesses on strategic priorities.

The position contributes across the team's remit, with particular focus on strategic planning, strategy development, business partnership, and high-impact initiatives.

The role works with senior leaders, portfolio executives, the enterprise strategy team, and external partners and advisers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-priority strategic projects supporting growth, performance, and long-term objectives.
  • Analyze markets, competitors, customers, and industries to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging trends.
  • Develop insights, recommendations, and executive-level presentations for strategic decision-making.
  • Support portfolio strategy and annual strategy and business planning.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to evaluate opportunities, refine priorities, and support execution.
  • Evaluate partnerships, market expansion, organic growth initiatives, and inorganic opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, corporate development, business transformation, or a related strategic discipline.
  • Strong financial analysis skills and commercial acumen, including business case development and performance evaluation.
  • Experience assessing markets, competitors, customers, and growth opportunities; track record leading projects through recommendation and implementation.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders, communicate clearly, structure ambiguous problems, synthesize complex information, and produce actionable recommendations.
  • Strong collaboration skills in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Ability to leverage technology and AI-enabled tools to improve work speed, quality, and effectiveness.
