ORYX ROYAL GENERAL CONTRACTING L.L.C – S.P.C is hiring a Civil Engineer – Insulation & Estimation in Abu Dhabi.
The role focuses on EIFS, thermal insulation, waterproofing, plastering, façade works, construction finishing, quantity take-offs, BOQs, estimation, and project pricing.
Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents; prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
- Price materials, manpower, equipment, transportation, and other project costs; prepare quotations, tender submissions, and technical and commercial proposals.
- Calculate insulation boards, adhesive, mesh, base coat, primer, paint, accessories, and labor requirements.
- Visit sites to verify quantities and conditions; coordinate with suppliers to obtain competitive material prices.
- Monitor actual project costs against estimates and coordinate with engineers, procurement, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
- Assist with variations, additional works, and payment quantities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of EIFS, insulation, and façade works; excellent AutoCAD, Excel, and BOQ skills.
- Good understanding of UAE material and labor rates.
- UAE construction experience is preferred; UAE insulation and EIFS project experience is preferred.
- Independent handling of quantity take-offs, costing, pricing, and quotation preparation is preferred.
Location
- The position is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE and includes site visits.
