Java Software Engineer - Developer (Experienced and Senior)

Role Overview

Position Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software in an Agile lifecycle while meeting industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Translate customer requirements into initial designs and software products.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance software products and features for system integrations.
• Document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and software designs.
• Debug and resolve issues to ensure software reliability and efficiency.
• Work with users to troubleshoot issues, gather feedback, and develop future design concepts.
• Implement relevant technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes.
• Improve software processes, tools, and performance metrics.
• Advise on software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance is required.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems is required.
• At least 3 years of experience with Java, C++, Angular or React.js, HTML, and CSS is required.
• At least 3 years of experience with software development and configuration-management tools is required.
• At least 3 years of cloud software product development experience is required.
• At least 2 years of Agile methodology experience is required.
• U.S. export-control compliance as a U.S. Person is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Nine or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is preferred.
• Five or more years of Java and React experience is preferred.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, AWS, IDEs, Maven, Git, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, JUnit, Mockito, Spring Boot, MongoDB, REST APIs, Kubernetes, and Helm is preferred.
• Experience with orbital-mechanics algorithms or coordinate transforms is preferred.
• Experience working with distributed teams is preferred.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay varies by candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.
• Experienced-level pay range is $126,650 to $182,850 depending on location.
• Senior-level pay range is $160,650 to $232,400 depending on location.
