Location and workplace
- The position is based in Mississauga, Ontario, and explicitly requires onsite, in-person participation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement web applications while following coding standards.
- Write clean, unit-tested code; build and run unit and integration tests and deployment scripts.
- Mentor junior staff, define coding standards and practices, and collaborate across product and engineering teams.
- Partner with QA to own product quality.
Requirements and qualifications
- 6–10 years of software development experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, SQL, Hibernate, JavaScript, and Angular.
- Experience with design patterns, REST APIs or web services, and accessibility, including screen reader tools.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with distributed teams.
Additional skills
- SASS/SCSS familiarity is listed; Docker, NgRx, and RxJS are described as bonuses.
- Agile/Scrum experience or basic knowledge is requested.
- Continuous integration and continuous delivery are identified as areas of interest.
Compensation
- The stated base compensation range is CAD $80,000–$90,000 per annum; additional incentives may apply.
