Java Developer Lead Analyst - Vice President

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead scalable, high-performance application development aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Design and implement Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and real-time messaging solutions for large-scale data processing.
• Build and optimize Big Data pipelines and analytical workflows for reliable regulatory reporting.
• Set engineering standards for coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
• Partner with architecture, infrastructure, business, and management teams to identify enhancements and deliver product capabilities and process improvements.
• Analyze complex business and system processes and resolve high-impact technical challenges.
• Mentor developers and analysts, provide technical guidance, and allocate work as needed.
• Embed risk awareness, compliance, data integrity, and regulatory adherence in engineering decisions.
• Ensure application designs follow the architecture blueprint and transparently manage or escalate control issues.

Recommended qualifications

• At least 6 years of hands-on software development experience, focused on backend engineering and enterprise-scale systems.
• Deep Java and Spring Boot expertise, advanced SQL knowledge, and real-time messaging experience.
• Experience guiding engineering teams and allocating work effectively.
• Ability to design software architecture and make trade-off analyses across complex technical environments.
• Practical experience delivering production microservices architectures.
• A modern JavaScript framework such as Angular and full-stack contribution are highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
• A master's degree is preferred.
