Java Backend Engineer

·Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Javaand Spring Boot.

· Contribute to the migration of existing C++ services and applicationsinto modern Java-based microservices and APIs.

· Analyze legacy codebases, understand business workflows, and translaterequirements into scalable software solutions.

· Develop RESTful services and integrate with internal and externalsystems.

· Write clean, maintainable, secure, and high-performance code followingengineering best practices.

· Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, and technicalsolutioning.

· Troubleshoot production issues and support application performanceoptimization.

· Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA engineers, andcross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives around developmentprocesses, automation, and engineering excellence.

· Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processeswherever applicable.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

· 3-5 years of hands-on software development experience.

· Strong proficiency in Core Java (Java 11/17 or higher preferred).

· Solid experience in Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.

· Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.

· Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and designpatterns.

· Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, orsimilar.

· Working knowledge of version control systems such as Git.

· Familiarity with software development best practices, including codereviews, unit testing, and debugging.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

· Exposure to CI/CD tools and pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions,Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

· Basic to intermediate DevOps knowledge, including build automation,deployment pipelines, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

· Experience with container technologies such as Docker and orchestrationplatforms such as Kubernetes.

· Understanding of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.

· Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems.

· Familiarity with messaging technologies, event-driven architectures, ormiddleware platforms.

· Prior experience working on application modernization or technologymigration projects.
