Role overview

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop cellular communication solutions using Kotlin, Java, Akka, Gradle, GitLab, and Docker.
• Design and implement backend systems using Domain-Driven Design, reactive architectures, and actor-based systems.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Build scalable, message-based, high-performance backend services.
• Collaborate with software engineers, system architects, and product managers to deliver robust technical solutions.
• Contribute to technology and architecture decisions.
• Work within multidisciplinary Agile teams and use Agile methodologies, tools, and practices.

Qualifications and required skills

• BSc or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of Java and Kotlin software development experience.
• Strong experience with functional programming, message-based communication, reactive programming, Domain-Driven Design, and Test-Driven Development.
• Ability to read technical documentation and develop tools based on specifications.
• Self-directed, with strong planning and execution capabilities; a team player with Agile experience.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Eligibility to obtain security clearance is required.

• A flexible attitude and ability to perform under pressure are preferred.
• Upper-intermediate spoken and written English is preferred.
