Seeking an experienced Java Architect with 9–15 years of expertise designing and delivering large-scale enterprise applications.
The role defines application architecture and technology strategy, leads modernization, and delivers scalable, secure, high-performing solutions.
The position combines technical leadership, stakeholder management, and hands-on modern Java and cloud-native expertise.
Key responsibilities
- Define end-to-end enterprise application architecture using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud technologies.
- Design scalable, resilient, and secure systems aligned with business and technology objectives.
- Lead architecture reviews, design discussions, technology evaluations, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
- Drive application modernization, cloud migration, and digital transformation programs.
- Establish architecture standards, coding practices, governance frameworks, and technical best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams; provide technical leadership and mentor developers.
- Ensure performance, security, scalability, availability, and maintainability; guide DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and automation.
Required skills and experience
- 9–15 years of software development experience; strong expertise in Java 8, Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Hibernate/JPA.
- Extensive microservices, REST API, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture experience; knowledge of design patterns, SOLID, DDD, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or JMS; database design and optimization across Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- DevOps experience with tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines; understanding of secure application development.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Serverless architecture and cloud-native development experience; exposure to API management, service mesh, and observability platforms.
- Knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible; experience in Agile, SAFe, and large-scale enterprise delivery environments.
- Java, cloud, or architecture certifications are advantageous. A bachelor's degree or equivalent is listed; a master's degree is preferred.
