Java Apps Developer Lead Analyst - Vice President

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver Java applications for margin calculation; translate financial requirements into tested, maintainable solutions.
• Lead technical design, contribute to the platform roadmap, and optimize calculation performance and database access.
• Develop batch and event-driven workflows; review code and designs, set standards, and mentor engineers.
• Own work from analysis through production; investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and improve monitoring, resiliency, and recovery.
• Coordinate global dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments; ensure security, regulatory, audit, and technology controls are met.

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience and strong hands-on Java expertise.
• Advanced Core Java, including collections, streams, concurrency, multithreading, synchronization, and memory management; strong Spring experience.
• Experience with high-volume, calculation-intensive, or distributed applications; algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and clean-code principles.
• Kafka, JMS, or similar messaging; SQL and relational databases; JUnit, Mockito, TDD, and automated integration testing.
• Performance troubleshooting; Linux, Git, CI/CD, production support, and working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to lead technical delivery and communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications

• Financial platform, margin, collateral, risk, pricing, or Prime Services experience; calculation engines and complex business rules.
• Large-scale batch processing, job scheduling, Apache Geode, GemFire, or other distributed caching experience.
• Hibernate, JPA, Jackson, legacy application modernization, monitoring, logging, alerting, or performance profiling.

Compensation

• The stated full-time salary range is $142,320–$213,480; eligible employees may also receive discretionary or formulaic incentive and retention awards.
