Java Angular Full Stack Development Lead - Vice President

Job Overview

Technical Leadership and Delivery

• Lead design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise web and mobile applications using Java microservices and Angular.
• Drive architecture standards across microservices, distributed caching, event-driven systems, and cloud-native containers.
• Architect secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs and guide responsive, accessible web and mobile experiences.
• Manage roadmaps, technical debt, dependencies, and delivery risks across concurrent digital initiatives.

AI-Assisted Engineering

• Drive adoption of generative AI developer tools, AI coding assistants, automated test generation, and AI code review tools.
• Guide GenAI and LLM integrations, semantic search, vector retrieval, AI gateways, and prompt-driven microservices.
• Ensure AI-generated code and GenAI integrations follow security, privacy, compliance, guardrail, and intellectual property standards.

Architecture and Quality Governance

• Participate in design reviews, establish reusable patterns, and enforce enterprise architecture guidelines.
• Champion code reviews and quality governance across Java, Angular, mobile, and CI/CD components.
• Track engineering metrics covering delivery, testing, defects, AI adoption, performance, and design pattern adoption.
• Direct performance optimization across runtime, memory, concurrency, APIs, and database queries.

Team and Stakeholder Leadership

• Lead, coach, and empower software engineers, technical leads, and full-stack teams.
• Partner with business owners, program managers, and product managers on risks, trade-offs, and delivery priorities.
• Resolve blockers, manage escalations, and communicate technical risks to executive stakeholders.
• Safeguard firm assets and client data while enforcing information security, privacy, regulatory, and secure SDLC controls.

Experience and Education

• 10–12 or more years of progressive software development experience.
• At least 3–5 years in technical leadership or engineering management for full-stack, microservices, and mobile or web development.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant computing or information technology discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Core Technical Competencies

• Deep expertise in Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate/JPA, and microservices design patterns.
• Experience with distributed messaging, SQL and NoSQL databases, schema design, and query optimization.
• Advanced Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, SCSS/CSS3, and NgRx/RxJS proficiency.
• Experience designing and securing RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, GraphQL, and API Gateway integrations.
• Understanding of mobile architecture, mobile security, and mobile API orchestration.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Docker, cloud platforms, CI/CD, testing, and static analysis.

AI and Leadership Skills

• Practical exposure to AI-assisted development tools, automated testing tools, or AI code review tools is preferred.
• Familiarity with GenAI APIs, LLM endpoints, prompt engineering, RAG, AI gateways, or intelligent search is preferred.
• Awareness of AI governance, data privacy, and enterprise security guardrails is preferred.
• Strong matrix leadership, negotiation, diplomacy, executive presentation, roadmap planning, and technical depth are required.
