Role overview
Join the team in Vancouver, BC, to build generative AI capabilities across Planview products.
Work with senior engineers, Product, Data Science, and other development teams on an AI platform that identifies management concerns and recommends actionable solutions.
Software and AI development
- Design, develop, test, and deploy generative AI platform features and AI-driven product capabilities.
- Develop scalable services and integrate data sources such as OKRs, product portfolios, and engineering work tickets.
- Support development and deployment of agentic AI capabilities.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and continuous improvement.
Collaboration and delivery
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, Engineering, and other development groups to deliver AI use cases and high-impact solutions.
- Contribute to a DevOps culture in which teams build, deploy, and support their solutions.
- Apply modern software design principles and agile methodologies throughout the development lifecycle.
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of professional software development experience and 3+ years developing applications with Java and Spring.
- Strong understanding of Java design patterns, best practices, and software engineering principles.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, React, LLMs such as Claude Sonnet, and a DevOps environment.
- Experience with agentic conversational AI using LangGraph or LangChain.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred qualifications and experience
- Preferred: hands-on application of AI technologies to software development, or experience building AI-powered products and features.
- Preferred: knowledge of data strategy and data-driven product development, or experience supporting agentic AI platforms and generative AI applications.
- Preferred: experience integrating AI services into enterprise software products and collaborating across Product, Data Science, and Engineering.
- Ideal background includes reusable AI platforms for SaaS products, RAG and vector search, LLM orchestration and tool calling, Java Spring Boot microservices, context and retrieval pipelines, and AI evaluation frameworks and guardrails.
