Role overview
Alpha Strategy, an expanding Vancouver Island MSP, seeks an IT Technician for remote and onsite client support.
The role focuses on solving client problems and providing responsive customer service.
Responsibilities
- Deliver IT support and diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Document issues and resolutions in PSA systems and follow up to ensure client concerns are addressed.
- Communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay informed about industry technologies and identify ways to improve processes and client experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least two years of MSP experience and two years of remote and onsite IT support or IT support and MSP experience.
- Strong Microsoft 365 and computer management knowledge; experience with desktop support, peripherals, user accounts, operating systems, networking, and cybersecurity.
- Strong critical thinking, time management, decision-making, communication, and IT infrastructure operations knowledge.
- Working knowledge of listed Windows, server, Microsoft 365, identity, security, backup, network, VPN, wireless, and VoIP technologies.
- Listed CompTIA or Microsoft certifications, or equivalent; Class 5 driver’s licence.
Compensation and benefits
- Salary is $55,000–$65,000 per year. Overtime pay is offered.
- Benefits include extended health, dental, vision, life insurance, onsite parking, and paid time off.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; overtime may be required.
Workplace
- Work is in person at the Courtenay office; applicants must reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting.
