Role overview

Essential job functions

• Maintains network operating systems and virtual servers.
• Secures system data through backup operations and maintains Active Directory accounts.
• Administers phone and audio-visual systems, including event equipment setup and removal.
• Troubleshoots complex system problems and provides high-level user support.
• Maintains job logs, distributes reports, and responds to user calls, pages, and emails about PC and hardware problems.
• Accurately documents hardware failures, repairs, installations, and removals in incident and change-management systems.
• Follows and enforces departmental standards, security, run instructions, backup and recovery, and shift-turnover procedures.
• Supervises and develops IT technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical school certificate.
• Three or more years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, backup utilities, helpdesk software, VMware, Cisco/Avaya phone systems, and PC hardware.
• A+, MCSE, or CNA certification preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain necessary licensing.

Physical and interpersonal demands

• Regularly uses sight, speech, hearing, hands, and arms and stands and walks; frequently stoops and kneels.
• Must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and interact with others in a positive, courteous manner.

Base pay

• The stated base pay range is 25.00; the amount is subject to qualifications, experience, and skillset.
