Job Description

  • ****What do we expect from you?****
  • Under the general guidance of the Information Technology Manager or any other authorized by the management, provide support for corporate Information Technology, ensuring functional integration of network and LAN hardware components.
  • General duties To assist IT Manager, Department Heads and users for the effective operation of Fidelio, Micros, networking, telephones, PC’s and other systems as well as conducting relevant periodic training and refresher training courses for the users.
  • ****How your day looks like?****
  • Answer e-mails/fax concerning I.T. matters in the absence of IT Manager.
  • Attend to tasks assigned by the IT Manager.
  • Assist the IT Manager in preparing and conducting user training on Fidelio, Micros modules, internet & other office automation software.
  • Monitor usage of available resources – software and hardware.
  • Troubleshoot problems in Fidelio, Micros, Sopho, and other Hotel systems.
  • Revise forms to be used in Fidelio and other internal control systems as per design approved by IT Manager.
  • Supports users in their daily operations.
  • Modify simple reports in Fidelio.
  • Modify user rights as per IT Manager's instructions.
  • Awareness on latest technologies available in the market.
  • Research, develop, and program system applicable to end users
  • Maintain and monitor backup tapes.
  • Analyze software and hardware problems to detect/correct deficiencies, malfunctions and irregularities.
  • Ensure compliance with established procedures, systems security, contingency plans, internal controls and standards.
  • Schedule routine preventive maintenance, daily clerical functions regarding integrity of computer systems.
  • Coordinate with department heads and end users to ensure smooth operation.
  • Log and close all support calls.
  • Should be available 24 hours on call.
  • Maintain department objectives and keep consistent with objective from Business Units and Corporate Units.
  • Run training classes for individual workstations and new applications. As well as attend training classes
