IT Support Specialist

Role overview

IT support duties

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, printers, peripherals, and other IT hardware.
• Resolve Windows, application, driver, and network connectivity issues.
• Handle user incidents through the ticketing system and support Microsoft 365, accounts, access rights, email, antivirus, patching, and backups.
• Maintain IT asset, software license, configuration, and inventory records.
• Coordinate with vendors for repairs, AMC, procurement, warranty claims, and technical support.
• Provide on-site support at office and plant locations and respond to urgent IT issues.

Application development duties

• Develop, enhance, test, debug, and maintain in-house applications and internal business tools.
• Translate business requirements into application solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, test cases, user guides, and release notes.
• Use databases for queries, reports, data corrections, and routine maintenance.
• Improve application workflows, IT processes, security practices, and system reliability.

Technical qualifications

• Candidates should have strong hands-on desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge is required for Windows, Microsoft 365, networking, at least one programming language, web or desktop development, SQL, Git, and software development lifecycle practices.
• The role requires strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills.

Education and experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related discipline is required.
• Three to four years of relevant experience covering IT support and application development is required.
• Good communication skills in English and Tamil are required.

Additional experience

• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, electronics, or IT services environments is advantageous.
• Experience with ERP applications, SQL Server or other relational databases, ticketing systems, endpoint security tools, or multiple office and plant locations is advantageous.
• CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or networking certifications are advantageous.

Work arrangement

• The stated working hours are 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Local travel to office or plant locations may be required.
• The position is full-time and permanent with an immediate requirement.

Compensation and benefits

• Pay is ₹20,000–₹35,000 per month.
