Role Description
This is a remote IT Support Officer (Entry / Junior Level) role.
The IT Support Officer will provide first-line technical support to internal users, responding to support tickets, emails, and calls in a timely manner.
Daily tasks include identifying and resolving basic hardware and software issues on desktop computers, assisting with printer setup and maintenance, and escalating complex incidents to senior team members when required.
The role also involves documenting solutions, maintaining updated records of support activities, and following established IT procedures and security guidelines.
The IT Support Officer will collaborate with other team members to ensure consistent service quality and contribute to continuous improvement of support processes.
Qualifications
- Ability to provide effective Technical Support and perform basic Troubleshooting for common user issues.
- Foundational understanding of Information Technology concepts, systems, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience working with Desktop Computers, including operating system installation, updates, and configuration.
- Basic Printer Support skills, including setup, connectivity, and resolving routine printing problems.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with a focus on clear, respectful, and solution-oriented interaction.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and follow documented procedures.
- Interest in learning and developing technical skills, with openness to training and feedback.
- Relevant education or certification in IT or a related field (e.g., CompTIA A+, IT support courses) is beneficial but not mandatory.
