Key responsibilities
- Install, configure, test, maintain, and decommission IT hardware, software, cabling, and related equipment under established standards and procedures.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software malfunctions and ensure IT installations function properly.
- Provide first-line technical support, respond to employee service requests, and advise users on systems, applications, and services.
- Record, monitor, and track support requests, user details, actions taken, and resolution feedback.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior colleagues or appropriate support teams.
- Maintain IT asset and configuration records, including hardware and software installations, removals, and changes.
- Assist with change-request evaluations and investigations of installation-related technical problems.
- Follow approved installation procedures, technical standards, and health and safety guidelines.
- Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and external service providers to deliver IT support.
Qualifications and experience
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of four years of experience in IT support or technical support roles.
- MCSA, MCSE, or ITIL certifications are preferred.
- Good working knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365, and IT support applications.
- Strong understanding of hardware and software installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of IT asset management, configuration management, and IT service support procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Fluency in English is essential.
