Role overview
Provide first- and second-line technical support to customers and other users.
The support team handles IT, connectivity, security and VoIP operations for internal and external users.
Responsibilities
- Respond to user inquiries by phone, email, chat, ticket or face to face, providing clear and timely instructions.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues; document issues and resolutions in ticketing systems.
- Escalate issues requiring specialist expertise and assist with hardware and software setup and configuration.
- Collaborate on complex support issues and project rollouts.
- Create and update knowledge-base articles, user guides and other problem-solving resources.
- Keep support capabilities current through learning about technology and best practices, and follow security protocols.
Skills and experience
- Qualifications or experience working in IT support; at least 1 year of help-desk experience is required.
- Good knowledge of Windows desktop support and networking.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively; experience with ticketing systems.
- A driving licence is required.
Compensation and benefits
- Salary is £28,000–£30,000 per year, depending on experience.
