- Monitors and maintains the local and wide area network infrastructure equipment, including but not limited to hubs, modems, switches, network appliances, and routers
- Utilizes network management tools to monitor and maintain network health and performance
- Monitors and maintains network circuitry technologies and connections, including but not limited to frame relay, broadband, and satellite
- Monitors and maintains enterprise wiring infrastructure including but not limited to fiber, UTP, wireless and network racks
- Monitors and maintains virtual private network infrastructure
- Isolates and resolves network-related service calls and problems
- Maintains Networking Services documentation
- Serves as the primary liaison between information technology service providers for interface and customization needs
- Researches new products and potential solutions
- Manages internal Network Services projects
- Proactive in identifying problems and takes necessary steps or implements procedures to resolve problems before they become larger and more critical
- Provides technical assistance regarding all network devices, circuitry and core infrastructure throughout the project including troubleshooting, configuring, installing, documenting, and sustaining the projects network infrastructure
- Conducts appropriate risk analysis before making decisions related to technology and infrastructure
