Role Description

The IT Specialist will work on-site in Abu Dhabi in a full-time capacity, supporting the organization’s technology infrastructure and users.

Responsibilities

include installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, software, and network systems, as well as monitoring system performance and ensuring reliable connectivity.

The role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, escalating complex problems when needed, and documenting solutions and procedures.

The IT Specialist will also support network security measures, assist with data backup and recovery, and enforce IT policies and best practices.

Daily work includes providing responsive, professional technical support to internal stakeholders and collaborating with other teams to improve IT services.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Information Technology, including operating systems, hardware, and common business applications.
  • Proficiency in Network Administration and basic Network Security practices to support and protect organizational systems.
  • Demonstrated Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Effective Customer Service and communication skills to support users with varied technical backgrounds.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or equivalent) are highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in an on-site IT support role; prior exposure to the oil and gas or training/consultancy sectors is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
