IT Service and Support Analyst joining Trinity House's IT team in Harwich on a two-year fixed-term contract.
The role supports the availability, security and performance of business-critical systems.
Provides first- and second-line support across a broad technical environment.
What you'll do
- Provide technical support for hardware, software and network issues, and resolve Service Desk requests within agreed service levels.
- Support business-critical systems and help maintain service availability.
- Assist with Windows desktop and server, Microsoft technology and networking administration.
- Support cyber security initiatives and promote good security practices.
- Maintain technical documentation and configuration records.
- Take part in IT projects, disaster recovery testing and business continuity activities.
- Contribute to out-of-hours support arrangements after appropriate training.
What we're looking for
- Experience providing first- or second-line IT support in a service-focused environment is sought.
- Technical knowledge should include Microsoft technologies, Windows Desktop and Server, Office, Exchange, Active Directory and networking concepts.
- Candidates should understand service level agreements and have awareness of cyber security principles, threats and basic countermeasures.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Five Level 2 qualifications, including English and Mathematics.
- A relevant IT qualification such as CompTIA A+, NVQ Level 3, BTEC National Certificate or equivalent.
