****Role Descr iption The IT Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi, responsible for supporting the school’s technology infrastructure across multiple campuses.
The role includes providing day-to-day technical support to staff and students, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues, and ensuring that classrooms and offices have reliable access to ICT resources.
The IT Officer will assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, printers, interactive boards, and other educational technologies, as well as support school management systems and user accounts.
The position also includes monitoring network and system performance, escalating complex issues to senior IT staff or vendors when needed, and maintaining accurate documentation of assets, incidents, and solutions.
The IT Officer will collaborate with academic and administrative teams to ensure a secure, efficient, and user-friendly technology environment that supports teaching and learning.
Qualifications
- Strong Information Technology foundation, with knowledge of hardware, software, operating systems, and basic cybersecurity practices.
- Hands-on Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills for resolving user issues, diagnosing faults, and providing clear guidance to non-technical users.
- Experience in Network Administration, including basic routing, switching, Wi‑Fi configuration, and network monitoring in a school or office environment.
- System Administration skills for user account management, permissions, backups, and routine maintenance of servers and applications.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, MCSA, CCNA) are an advantage.
- Familiarity with educational technologies (LMS, SIS, interactive classroom tools) and cloud-based productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace) is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work under time constraints, and support multiple campuses when required.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and service-oriented mindset.**
