The IT Manager will own IT infrastructure, systems and cybersecurity within a growing business.
This hands-on role combines strategic planning with day-to-day technical delivery and collaboration with senior leadership and an external IT services provider.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the company’s IT strategy and technology roadmap.
- Manage Microsoft 365, cloud services, networks, hardware and user support.
- Strengthen cybersecurity, including access controls, endpoint protection and Cyber Essentials compliance.
- Support business applications, software licensing and data management.
- Maintain backup, disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements.
- Manage external IT suppliers, budgets and service agreements.
- Improve processes through automation and secure use of new technologies.
Candidate requirements
- Strong experience in IT infrastructure and systems management in a technical or operational environment.
- Confident administering Microsoft 365 and Windows; good knowledge of networking, firewalls, VPNs and endpoint management.
- Practical cybersecurity, identity and access management, backup and recovery experience.
- Experience managing IT suppliers, software licences and support contracts.
- Proactive and practical, with clear communication skills for working with colleagues at all levels.
- Azure, Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint or Cyber Essentials experience would be an advantage.
