Opportunity
A fast-growing, Series A-backed hospitality brand is separating internal IT from product engineering as it scales its UK venues.
The hands-on IT Manager runs day-to-day technology support for headquarters and venues, working within the operating model set by the Head of IT & Systems.
The role is hybrid, based in the UK with a London HQ, and includes regular travel to venues. It is full-time and permanent.
What you’ll do
- Run Tier 1 and Tier 2 support across HQ and venues, managing triage, tickets, resolutions, and escalation against SLAs.
- Own joiner, mover, and leaver processes for accounts, devices, access, and licences.
- Administer Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, Figma, and the broader SaaS stack, including SSO and group-based access.
- Manage Mac and Windows devices through MDM, covering enrolment, patching, encryption, endpoint protection, and asset records.
- Enforce MFA, password management, phishing protection, and least-privilege access; support office and venue networking with Ubiquiti.
- Prepare venues for opening using a repeatable IT checklist; track licences, renewals, and procurement and identify savings.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and asset records; automate repetitive administration with Google Apps Script, Python, or similar.
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and GDPR controls for internal systems.
What you’ll bring
- At least 3 years in hands-on IT, including at least 1 year owning day-to-day IT for a growing organisation.
- Strong Google Workspace administration, SSO, and identity management across a SaaS stack.
- MDM experience across Mac and Windows using Jamf, Kandji, Intune, or Google endpoint management.
- Solid networking fundamentals covering Wi-Fi, VLANs, firewalls, DHCP, and DNS.
- Experience operating a ticketed support queue against clear SLAs and practical knowledge of endpoint protection, MFA, and access reviews.
- UK-based with the right to work in the UK and willing to travel regularly to venues.
- Nice to have: multi-site experience; Ubiquiti UniFi; Auth0; scripting; MSP or supplier management; GDPR; Cyber Essentials/Plus; or exposure to EPOS, inventory, or scheduling platforms.
Role boundaries
The role does not own IT strategy, budget, hiring, product engineering, product security, or the operations systems roadmap, though it supports that roadmap.
Success measures
By 30 days, every device and account is recorded, and onboarding and offboarding use a single checklist.
By 60 days, MFA is enforced everywhere and tickets are tracked against SLAs.
By 90 days, the venue readiness checklist has been used for an opening or refit, at least two manual tasks are automated, and a licence review has delivered measurable savings.
