IT Infrastructure Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor servers, networks, storage, Windows and Linux environments, and cloud infrastructure.
• Track availability, performance, capacity, and infrastructure health; investigate incidents and resolve root causes.
• Support firewalls, VPNs, access controls, backup, recovery, continuity, disaster recovery, patching, and security improvements.
• Maintain documentation, configuration records, asset inventories, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, development, and IT support teams; identify automation opportunities.
• Assist with upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and infrastructure implementation projects.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Practical understanding of server administration, networking, virtualization, and infrastructure monitoring.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and common network protocols.
• Cloud knowledge, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and scripting familiarity are advantageous.
• Understand backup, disaster recovery, patch management, and infrastructure security.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Able to manage priorities independently and collaborate remotely.
• Professional certifications are not required.
